Marsha's work has included 15 years of teaching leadership, and 37+ of consulting/coaching/facilitating, helping leaders develop learning environments and welcoming change as opportunity. A popular speaker and beloved teacher, she continues cast light on ways we can build Ecosystem Intelligence to exchange more effectively with each other - as we evolved to do.
Marsha will lead us through practices to create mutual enrichment, building neuroplasticity.
About Your Host, Joe Shoemaker, Energy and Vitality Expert for Leaders
Hello, my name is Joe Shoemaker, your host for this phenomenal day of recalibration, deepening and vitality.
Leaders working in fast-paced environments have my deepest compassion. Over 15 years as a corporate leader, I experienced the daily drain of high-stakes performance, realizing early that critical to my success was (and still is) self-care. At the time, most of my supervisors and company leaders mistook a once-in-a-while spa day for stress resiliency and taking a “mental day” for inner strength building. To me, this lack of true care undermined my ability to be more resourceful. I made a vow to dedicate my life not just to my own self-care but in teaching leaders the same.
As a result, 8 years ago I re-engineered my career to become a healing arts and wellbeing practitioner and guide, now serving leaders globally at Nike, Intel, and Airbnb and many more for the past decade.
The creation of these events serve as critical need in our communities, families and organizations - allowing leaders to become and sustain being warm, confident and energized so we can tap into our infinite source of creativity, problem solving capacity and ability to lead no matter what comes forward to us.
I partner with dynamic, masters of energy, leadership and embodiment in offering you a day to come back into your own vitality. Thank you so much for taking good care of yourself!
Our Exceptional Venue
Welcome to your retreat venue located on 9 acres in beautiful Happy Valley, Oregon. This private residence is being graciously opened to us by Brandon Johnson, a local leader and philanthropist who, like you, is on a path of self-expansion. You will enjoy the 8,000sq ft and 21ft ceilings in this architecturally stunning home.
Culinary Delights: Indian Inspired Lunch
Our last event featured the culinary mastery of Chef Martin Turtle, to rave reviews. We’ll once again be serving Indian vegetable or chicken curry, a delicious, warming dish to nourish our bodies and spirits.
Additionally, we’ll have a full beverage bar with coffee and tea, fruit and morning snacks. We’ll ensure you have everything you need to feel satiated.
Covid Precautions and Your Agreement
This event will abide by the Multnomah County directives in place for safe convening. You will be required to maintain safe distance (very easy to do in our space), while wearing a mask. 10ft tall windows will be open to encourage airflow.
*Note: 20 of us will be gathering in a very spacious 800sq ft room. For the most potency of our event, our speakers will be unmasked and more than 8ft away from participants. In order to attend this event, you will be required to sign a waiver of understanding, in addition to completing a Covid checklist the night before the event. We will be taking forehead temperatures before entering the main space.
*This event is perfect for the leader that is very comfortable being with other people, in-person in a shared space. We believe that in-person communing is necessary for our sanity at this unprecedented time, which we’ll do safely.
